We went to see an old friend’s band and decided to stay for the night. Broken Spoke’s venue is a very large open barn. There is the space up front for drinking, relaxing and listening to music, and bit at the back where they house some of their animals. They had two gigantic pot bellied pigs and two peacocks in those pens. The peacocks were inside the entire time we were there, but the potbellied pigs were roaming around until it was time for bed.
The band was what I remember. My wife and I have seen them play many times. Sadly only two members were at this gig. At one point the band was five members strong.
The Harvest host location was actually great, except when we parked, by the time I got Lola level, we couldn’t fully open the stairs. We had to make a run to Tractor Supply to get a small shovel. Fortunately the ground was sandy.
After the band wrapped up, we went for a walk around the farm and saw a bunch more animals.
There were three campsites behind the big barn. That’s us on the left. For a change we didn’t have any issues with power overnight. It looks like we are figuring out the power management issues. It was no fun running out of electrons at 01:00 in the morning on that first trip. Now with double the solar, and double the battery, we have quite a bit more hang time. I cannot wait to upgrade to LiFePo batteries in a couple of years.
