Before we can pick up the trailer, Sherman needs a class III/IV hitch, a brake controller and a whole lot of wiring!
The official Mopar hitch was not available and there was no expected date for the part, so I bought the Draw Tite Receiver kit from etrailer.com.
The job of removing the cross brace from the car and replacing it with the hitch was an astronomical undertaking.
This is what it looked like at the halfway point.
Of course it rained while I was doing the install, so I had to get creative.
The next weekend I spent even more time installing the brake controller.
We chose the Red Arc Tow-Pro 2. I liked that it had a tiny control knob that was easy to find a home for. It took nearly twice as long to install the controller than it took to install the hitch.
